The LiquaGen KDF-85 MediaGuard is a powerful add-on filter that installs directly onto your existing whole house water softener or filtration system. By adding an extra layer of protection, this system improves water quality, extends the life of your softener resin, and keeps your water fresher and cleaner.

Designed for well water applications, the MediaGuard is available in two chamber sizes:

4-Chamber (≈ 4 lbs KDF Media)

6-Chamber (≈ 6 lbs KDF Media)

Both options provide effective treatment, with the 6-chamber model offering higher capacity for homes with greater water usage or tougher water conditions.

How It Works

The MediaGuard mounts between the control valve and tank, locking into place for easy installation. Inside, the KDF process media uses a redox (oxidation-reduction) reaction to treat the water before it passes through the resin.

• Water enters the MediaGuard and swirls through four KDF-filled chambers.

• This motion maximizes contact time with the media, improving contaminant removal.

• The water then flows into the softener resin bed for complete treatment.

• During backwash, the system reverses flow, lifting the resin and cleaning the KDF chambers, restoring efficiency.
